Preston's Room- Part One- Closet project!

I LOVE to organize! Especially Preston's room, I love that everything has a place. When we cleared out the guest room for his nursery I was disappointed with all the wasted space in the closet because all that it had was ONE wire self all the way across. SO, being the little designer I am (see Dad, the schooling paid off!) I drew up a closet design for Danny to build. Danny is really handy. The guy can fix or make anything, really!!!

I don't have a complete before picture, but you'll get the idea!!

Danny built this and Mom and I painted it. (YES I wore a mask!!)
I found these plastic hanging file holders at Linens and Things on clearance for about $4 when they were going out of business, and designed the closet around them.
The results, LOTS more storage!!!
Then When Preston was born I realized I was missing out on clothes left and right because they were all shuffled in together. So I looked online for the closet seperators. They were about $10 at Babies R Us and at the time didn't carry them in the store so shipping was another $5! I decided to make my own, and I like them a lot better because they stick up and face out so you dont have to pull it out to see the sizes.

The supplies I used were # stickers, a stapler, thin sharpie, and foam bookmarks I got at the Dollar Tree!

Just use stickers or write on the top of the bookmark with the sharpie (I used stickers but the sharpie for the -) for all the sizes you need. I did newborn-18-24 mo. I think.. Then wrap the bookmark around the closet rod, loose enough to be able so slide around but still stand up and staple.. see pictures below..

Then VOILA!!!

It cost me about $3 to make them (if you buy stickers, otherwise its only a buck!), and there are bookmarks leftover to make more as he grows!
Check back next week for his before and after of his whole nursery!
