Preston is 10 months old!!! 12-20-09

I know I say this every time, but I can't believe how time is flying! Tomorrow our baby boy will be 10 months! In two months my baby will no longer be a baby! Oh my oh my... This month has been rough. Preston got his first ear infection (that I know of) and was on meds for 10 days. He wasn't feeling better after about 6 days on it so I took him back in and the doc said his ear looks clear.. just a little fluid still, but it looks like he's getting about 4 teeth all at once. So we went about our business and I tried everything to ease his pain. BUT a few days after finishing his meds he started running a fever. He was crying all day and all night. Motrin didn't seem to relieve the pain for long. A few days of that and many calls to the triage nurse, and we were back in the office for the 3rd time this month! ANOTHER ear infection.. He also has some sort of cold we think. He is coughing reallly horribly and just miserable. He decided he doesn't like meds anymore so getting him to take his antibiotic and motrin is so hard. Especially when I'm home alone which is most days. BUT we are getting thru it and hopefully he is back to his happy little self in no time!

Now on to the fun stuff... Preston took his first step a few weeks ago! Since then he has taken 3 consectutive steps without falling! He also on occasion will stand up without holding onto anything. It's so cute to see him doing big boy things since he is so small! He also said Dadadada last night. He is only making the noise right now, not really using it in context but at least we know he can make the sound! Poor Danny has been paitiently waiting for it! Can't wait for his FIRST CHRISTMAS! We will be spendng x mas eve at both our parents houses and x mas day we will go back to my family's house for presents and then off to the fire station to spend some time with Daddy! He thinks he's sooo funny (and he is!) with this shape sorter.. he puts in on his face and peeks thru at you and laughs or puts it on his head and laughs histerically and so do we!!!

I went to a murder mystery party for a friend's birthday. It was 1920 themed, hence the attire.. and everyone went all out and dressed up and were REALLY in character, it was so fun!!

Preston is 9 months old!!!

Yes, I'm late in making this post, so sorry! I wanted to wait til his 9 mo. check up so I had news to report! Preston is tipping the scales at 18 lbs 13 oz. these days, and is 27" long. That's still 25th % for weight and 10th % for height. Our lil guy.. still has a big head in the 50-75th % LOL! He is hitting and surpassing all his milestones perfectly. He is saying MAMA and BABA still, and he is standing on his own. The other day Danny and I were playing with him and he stood up to chew a toy and just stood there all by himself for 15 seconds! He is well on his way to taking steps, probably in the next few weeks!! Unfortunately he has been a lil cranky lately and come to find out little guy has an ear infection and a little cold.. I had a cold earlier in the week and thank goodness for my in-laws who babysat him for the first day and a half that I was sick. BUT he still caught it. It's not too bad. He got some antibiotics for his ear infection and took it like a CHAMP! We took him to see Santa and San Tan Flat the other day and he cried his head off, but it was totally cute! I will post the pic this weekend when we go pick it up. (It was done by a professional photog.) Well, not much else to report, just a few photos.. ENJOY! :0]
